And basically about me! Hi, I'm Ashley, lead strategist and lead in general at Peniche Communications.
Peniche Communications was created, well, firstly, so I could work in the middle of the night. (Kidding. Mostly.) Really, it was built to help smaller brands and companies achieve bigger and better goals — small businesses, personal brands, influencers, creators, and more. Whatever you do, I want to help you show it off as strategically as possible.
It's a cat screaming. And it might seem weird to you now, but trust, it fits me and my brand.
Want to know more? Shoot me a message — I'd love to hear from you.
This is a stock photo — not me. Maybe I'll take professional headshots one of these days
MEET THE TEAM
With nearly a decade in communications and marketing, almost 15 years of navigating fast-paced corporate environments, and two degrees, I specialize in taking complex, technical, or dry content and turning it into something that achieves goals.
Before launching my business, I worked at the University of Alberta — first as a Digital and Web Communications Coordinator and then as a Communications Associate. There, I've built and managed multiple websites, drafted crisis messaging with little-to-no information or time to spare (ah, COVID), developed solutions for numerous communications challenges (uab.ca/hours being one of my proudest), and helped the university's leadership communicate clearly and effectively with their employees, students, and the public.
Before that, I was a Senior Marketing Writer at LawDepot, turning dry legal content into readable, SEO-friendly content that helped people understand legalese with ease.
Along the way I've picked up a couple of industry awards, published research on crisis and digital communication, and had the opportunity to present at the National Conference on Ending Homelessness in 2023 and 2024.
Let's chat — I'd love to help you sound like yourself.
